HARARE – A devastating incident shook the New Bluffhill community on Sunday when a man in his 30s was brutally mauled to death by a pitbull roaming freely in the neighborhood. The attack has reignited urgent calls for tighter dog ownership regulations to prevent future tragedies.
According to Crime Watch Zimbabwe, the aggressive dog had been causing alarm long before the fatal attack, frequently jumping over a half-built durawall near the victim’s property. Despite repeated warnings from residents, no measures were taken to restrain or secure the dangerous animal.
“The victim’s body is still lying a short distance from the wall,” Crime Watch Zimbabwe reported, highlighting the ongoing risk the unleashed dog posed to the community.🚨 EXCLUSIVE: What This Community Discovered About Dangerous Dogs Will Shock You! 🚨

Local residents remain shaken by the tragedy. One, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “We warned the authorities about this dog for months. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened.”
As pressure mounts on government officials, calls for stronger enforcement of animal control laws grow louder. The victim’s identity remains withheld pending notification of next of kin, while the fate of the dog’s owner hangs in the balance.
